Free Resources for Memorizing Facts about Luke
Each year, Lads to Leaders chooses a book (or books) of the Bible to emphasize for Bible Bowl and from which the annual theme is selected. For 2019-2020, that is the book of Luke.
We try to incorporate that particular book into several things we do as a family, while also encouraging our young people at church to learn more about the book, too.
So, this year, we have two things we want to share with you for free that you might find helpful in studying Luke for the next several months.
Centurion of Scripture
In Centurion of Scripture, students memorize 100 verses of the Bible. For Lads to Leaders, it can be any 100 verses, but we strive to emphasize verses from the book for that year.
To help with that, we have put together a list of 100 verses from Luke, and we have it for you for free! It is in pdf format, so you can download or print it to use with your congregation, in your family devotionals, in your homeschool, or in whatever way you choose.
To view or download the document, click here or on the picture below.
In addition, we will be releasing the verses, one at a time, on the Central Instagram account, starting in the month of June and finishing in early January. This is a great way to see the verses and use technology to help you memorize them.
Simply follow the Central account on Instagram here (or on your app) to be ready for when these verses are released.
One Fact Per Chapter
This is not a Lads to Leaders event, but we want our students to know something about the major events of the book. So, in our Pew Packers, we will be seeking to memorize one fact per chapter from the book of Luke.
I have made these into a poster (using Publisher) but you can make them as cards or handouts or anything else. A big thank you to Vicky Yokum and some young ladies at the Cedar Springs Church of Christ in Louisville. They made a bulletin board that featured a fact per chapter and allowed me to take their list and simply change what I wanted for our own. Great job, ladies!
We have made the list on a printable pdf, so you can take it and use it in any way you would like. You can get it by clicking here or on the picture below.
