Parenting Seminar (w/ Adam & Leah)
Being a godly parent has always been difficult, but it seems that the pressure only gets higher with each passing day. Adam and Leah are just two struggling parents, but they desire to help other parents as we all seek to raise godly adults (we don’t raise kids…we raise adults!).
This seminar is meant to be used by congregations to encourage parents, and it is customizable to a Friday & Saturday or all-Saturday schedule. (Including a Sunday is also possible, but will be much harder to schedule.)
Congregations are free to chose any combination of the following topics, so that they can select subjects that most fit their needs:
Combined Sessions: These sessions are taught by Adam and are meant to be Biblically-based lessons to help build your family in various areas. A great emphasis is given to long-term vision and being intentional.
- Have a Peaceful Family by Friday (or, At Least, Before Jesus Returns)
- Building a Christian Home (not a House)
- Having Family Devotionals
- The Christian Family: Where Holiness Reigns
- Managing Media in the Home
- Parenting Against the (Cultural) Grain
Women’s Sessions (taught by Leah)
- Things I Want My Children to Know (before They Leave Home)
- How Nurturing Leads to Peace
- Balancing a Busy Life
- Teaching Your Children the Bible
Men’s Sessions (taught by Adam)
- Things I Want My Children to Know (before They Leave Home)
- How Providing Leads to Peace
- Dating Your Daughter
- Raising a Godly Man
Informal Combined Sessions: These sessions are designed for group discussion at informal times (after dinner; late-night; etc.) and are meant to be discussion-based and resource-driven.

- Using Lads to Leaders in Your Home
How Can We Use This?
This seminar is designed for any congregation that wants to equip parents in an encouraging way. With the selection of topics listed above, congregations are welcome to mix-and-match lessons to fit a retreat setting, a seminar setting, or any other type of setting they would like. Some have chosen a Friday night and Saturday, while others have chosen an all-day Saturday approach. Whatever works best for your congregation, we will do our best to accomodate.
What Does This Cost?
Adam and Leah do not charge a “set” fee for this seminar. They want to encourage any congregation that is willing to help their parents!
How Often Do You Do This?
Since we have a family and a full-time work, we try to limit ourselves to no more than one seminar each month. Also, at this time, we are limiting ourselves to places that are within a driving distance of Paducah, so that we are not spending too much time traveling. (However, you might be surprised how many places are within 5-6 hours of Paducah, so check on that before you decide not to ask!)
As of right now, we have plenty of openings for 2021 and beyond!
