20 Years

For 20 years, she has been Mrs. Faughn.

For 20 years, she has stood beside me through laughter and tears.

For 20 years, she has had the one smile that could make any day of mine brighter.

For 20 years, she has helped me draw closer to Christ.

For 20 years, she has been the one I could go to when I could go to no other human being.

Today, June 5, marks 20 years since Leah Moon became Leah Faughn. She honored me by saying “I do” and by taking my name. She honored me by choosing to be a godly wife. She honored me by choosing me above any other man, many of whom would have been far better, I’m sure.

Every moment of every day has not been sunshine and rainbows. We have faced stress, downturns, tight budgets (or almost no budget), moves, and seasons when the excitement of marriage was not always present.

But we have stayed together and have grown together and have matured together. And she has always been the better one.

For 20 years, she has made me a better man and only God knows why I was blessed to have her say “yes.”

20 years with the most beautiful woman in the world has been nothing but a blessing, even when there have been some rocks in the road.

Leah, I love you.

And, just in case you ever wonder, I say “I do” every day.

Here’s to 20…30…40…50…….more.
