9 Things
Today is our 9th wedding anniversary. Oddly, because of a mission trip and Maywood Christian Camp, this will be the first time we have ever gotten to go alone (without camp clothes on) on a date for our anniversary. The funny part is, since we haven’t done that in so long, we had trouble figuring out what to do!
I love Leah. There are scores of reasons, but I want to list 9. Trey Morgan, on his blog, always lists the number of things he loves about his wife on her birthday. I love that idea, but I’m going to do that on our anniversary.
Here are 9 things I love about Leah on our 9th anniversary:
1. She puts God first…always. Nothing and no one can come between her and God.
2. She is the greatest example of “Christian lady” Mary Carol could ever have.
3. She, when no one else can, makes Turner smile.
4. She is short, so when we hug her cheek is on my heart.
5. She lets me eat Mayfield ice cream!
6. She loves her family, but was willing to move farther away so I could be in a pulpit work.
7. She and I are on the same page about money. She never nags about the subject and we work together on getting out of debt.
8. She makes the best Italian pork chops this world has ever known.
9. She is my best earthly friend.
Thanks for 3288 days of joy and love. Happy anniversary.
