A Great Report

The youth in our area knock doors in a different town each summer. This year the young people knocked doors in Winfield, Alabama, to try to set up Bible studies and to invite each family to the upcoming Vacation Bible School.

What a great success the week was! The young people knocked doors on Monday and Tuesday in temperatures well over 100 degrees, but they continued to work hard. I was especially proud of our young people from 9th Avenue (Blake Hodges, Jordan Harper, Dylan Burleson, Bradley Tedford, Noah Moody and Riley Raper).

In all, 1216 doors were knocked and 10 Bible studies were set up. Also, from Monday’s contacts alone the congregation is trying to figure out how to get transportation for everyone who is interested in attending VBS!

And some people say door-knocking doesn’t work. It surely did this week in a small Alabama town, thanks to some great hard-working young people and, more importantly, thanks to a loving Father Who makes sure hard work is rewarded.
