A One-Step Process to Become a Superstar

At some point, almost everyone has dreamed of being a superstar. While very few people achieve celebrity fame, almost everyone has thought about it. And a whole lot of people really wish they could be famous.

Today, I want to give you a simple one-step process to achieve superstardom.

But, before I share it, I have to add one caveat; one disclaimer. This one step will not make you a world-wide phenomenon. This process won’t get your name in any newspaper or on the headlines of famous websites. You won’t get any interviews on TV or radio. You won’t be asked to write a book and go on a tour. The President is not going to call and ask you to take part in some task force.

Oh, and you won’t earn a dime for your newfound fame.

So, if none of those things is true, then how can we possibly say you will become a superstar?

Well, here’s the one step: Spend lots of quality time with your spouse and kids.

That’s it. That’s the one step.

Play games with the kids. Take your wife out for dessert. Wash dishes together. Read books together. Listen to your children. Surprise your wife with a flower. Eat meals together.

…oh, and do things like this every day.

It really takes two things to be a superstar. First, it takes presence. You cannot be a superstar with your family if you are never with your family. But it also takes presence; as in, when you are “there,” you are actually there! They have your attention and you are striving to make memories and teach skills.

You may never have a platinum album or a multi-million dollar contract. You may never be in the movies or be asked to be on TV. You may not have a YouTube or Instagram following. You will be tired a lot (and probably a little low on cash at times).

But in your little family? You will be a superstar.

That doesn’t sound like a bad deal to me.
