Again?

Every year, there seems to be a new “it” gadget, and the price to be paid for these things continues to skyrocket when they are released.

Today it is the iPhone. Now available in stores or online, these amazing gadgets have been the buzz of the tech world for weeks (and months) leading up to the product release.

Every Christmas season, it seems to be a new gaming console that is the new gadget to have.

Of course, it is not wrong to have an iPhone, iPod, X-box or Wii. If one can afford these things without taking money from his or her contribution or family, then enjoy one of these neat-o things.

However, why is it that people will “run up” the prices of these new gadgets just to get one on the first day? iPhones are selling on eBay right now for $600-$800! While these machines might be amazing, people are already reporting problems with them, yet they continue to fly off the shelves.

Let’s not be a part of the hype. Spend money wisely. Be a generous giver. Take care of your family. If you can afford an iPhone, wait a couple of weeks for the price to come down–and for the kinks to be worked out.

Besides, they’ll come out with something better…and probably by next year!
