ARGH!

No, I’m not starring in an upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean movie. I just had a frustrating moment last night, and thought I’d share my moment so you could laugh (or feel sorry for me…pouts).

Anyway, Leah and I are really trying to do better about saving money while grocery shopping. We are clipping some coupons on items we use often, and we are comparing sales papers. We live very close (less than 5 miles) from Wal-Mart, Kroger, CVS, Walgreen’s, Dollar General Market, and Publix. Comparison shopping is not a problem!

Yesterday was the last day of a sales paper for Publix, which included Welch’s juice at buy one get one free. So, we went to the store. They were out, but gave us a raincheck for 4, which we will use probably next week.

Then, we had a brainstorm. “Wal-Mart honors ALL competitors sales papers,” we said. We’ll go there, load up with several of the jugs of juice and then go back to Publix in a couple of weeks and pick up our raincheck juice. We’ll have our juice for the next month…at least!

So, while Leah gave the kids a bath last night, I ran to Wal-Mart with my handy-dandy sales paper. I proceeded to go back to the juice section and get 10, 64-ounce jugs of the stuff. I was so proud as I strolled through the store, even though I looked a little strange with nothing but juice in my cart.

Then I arrived at the counter, set my juice up on the counter and proudly showed the nice lady the ad.

Her response?

“We don’t honor two-for-ones. It’s the only things we don’t honor.”

ARGH!
