Beautiful Stuff

Yesterday, while working on our July budget (yuck!), Leah and I had the Concert for Diana on in the background. We enjoyed most of the acts (although we could have done without Kanye West).

Both of us were excited about the Andrew Lloyd Webber medley, and I wanted to hear Andrea Bocelli sing “Music of the Night.” He walked out on stage and…

…our DirecTV went out from the rain.

I knew I could find the video on YouTube today, though, and I was rewarded. Remember that Bocelli almost never sings in English, but you would never know it from this song. Enjoy!

When our satellite came back on, we were treated to two other great songs from the medley I thought you might enjoy (and, when I say “you,” I mean “mom and Amber”). The first is “All I Ask of You,” sung by Josh Groban and Sarah Brightman (the original Christine).

The next is “Memory” from Cats. This video is from Spanish TV. The concert was watched by an estimated 500million people in over 100 nations.

Finally, Donnie Osmond leads a group of three “Josephs” in a great rendition of “Any Dream Will Do” from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

This concert was very well done (at least the parts I saw), but this segment was, by far, the greatest moment.
