No matter how you look at it, Friends and Family Day was a huge success! That was true for at least three reasons. 1. First, it was our privilege to welcome two new members to the Lebanon Road family. Janean Pearson has been a resident of Nashville for some time, but recently began visiting with us. She lives near our building and we are grateful she has decided to be with us. Peggy Black moved to Nashville recently from the Atlanta area. She is a sweet lady who also lives near our building. I know this is news to you, but Sunday is Friends and Family Day at the Lebanon Road church of Christ. If you read this blog much, you know that this is something we have been planning for over the past weeks and months. It is truly going to be a special day. Our goal is to have 501 in attendance. The World Video Bible School has put out several DVDs dealing with the basics of the Gospel. Thus far, over 500,000 have been sent all over the world. Many of you have probably seen some of these videos. John Moore has put together much of the material from the DVD transcripts into a study book that is perfect for reaching out to someone. The publishing of this book is very good. The pages are glossy, and the colors are bright. While it is the text of the book that is the best part, the book is very well done in its printing, too. We have been having amazingly beautiful weather all week (today a high of about 81 without a cloud in the sky), and it is to continue right through the weekend. So, I took advantage of the weather yesterday and took a couple of photos to remind you of our Friends and Family Day this Sunday: Here is a picture of the front of our building in this beautiful weather.
