Connecticut Supreme Court Hears Important Case

Connecticut was the first state in the US to allow same-sex unions, although they did not call them “marriages.” Homosexual couples were allowed certain privileges under the law, but were not allowed to get marriage licenses.

Now, the same-sex couples in the state are taking a case before the state Supreme Court wanting full rights and the right to be defined as “married.” The court is supposed to unveil a ruling sometime later this year.
