Faughn Family of Four Links Roundup (Exhausted and Still Going Edition)

Today our young people will finish up “Mission: Haleyville VI.” This is an event where we do service project for 2 1/2 days and also have fun activities at night. Coming on the heels of our Vacation Bible School last week, I’m pretty beat.

But I can’t quit yet. Why? Because we finish off Mission: Haleyville with a lock-in! The good part is that we are chaperoning in shifts, so I get to be done at 1 AM. Not as bad as being up all night, but…well….tomorrow is still going to be one of those days where I won’t want to do anything.

Here are some links for your weekend from some of my favorite blogs.

  1. Jeremiah Tatum wrote an excellent article dealing with how we sometimes treat those closest to us in the worst way. Check out “Harsh Judgment” from his blog, Ancient Words.
  2. As I mentioned yesterday, my dad began a blog and has begun posting. Check out his first post, “A Wake Up Call.”
  3. Since you are obviously using a computer to read this post, I thought you might want to read “Praying at the Computer” by Lance Cordle from Lance’s Lines.

From the Faughn Family of Four “archives,” please take a moment to re-read “Is Lads to Leaders/Leaderettes Good for our Children?” The congregation where we worship will be having is 07-08 “Kick Off Dinner” for Lads to Leaders in a couple of weeks, so I thought of this article.

Finally, a quick announcement of congratulations. My good friend, Daniel Gaines, has been published in the Gospel Advocate. Daniel, who works with the Hartselle (Alabama) church of Christ, will have an article in the August edition. Congratulations, Daniel.
