FHU Bible Lectures #18: Thursday Morning Notes

Thursday, 8:30 & 9:30
Auditorium B

At the 8:30 lecture, David Baker gave more specifics to the model of growth used at Savannah, TN. Much of the information came from research by Thom Rainer. Savannah is obviously intentional about moving people from the larger worship setting to lives of service. Baker also spent quite some time this morning reminding the listeners that leadership is the key and must communicate well.

At 9:30, Dan Winkler finished the New Testament preaching track by walking through the final section of Hebrews. “Jesus is a better way” was the theme. While many shy away from Hebrews due to its heavy use of Old Testament language. However, Hebrews is an encouraging book and a rich study. Dan has reminded us this week of just some of the treasures that can be mined from this book.
