Friday Links Round Up (Waiting by the Phone Edition)
My sister, Amber Tatum, is due to have her family’s 3rd child at any point. If nothing happens before, she will have a C-section on Tuesday morning. So, we wait……
But, while we wait, here are some great links from this past week:
1. On the Christian Courier website, a pamphlet has been updated and edited that was originally written by Clyde Thompson, “The Meanest Man in Texas.” If you’ve never heard or read his story, it is truly remarkable. I have the book about him and intend to read it soon. “I Was Sentenced to Death in the Electric Chair–A True Story” is lengthy, but well worth your time.
2. I rarely get comments on any of my posts, so when I see an article pick up 10 comments in less than two days, I take notice. Brother David Courington, at From Calm to Chaos, wrote an excellent personal article about being a part of the “Sandwich Generation.” The article is well-done and needs to be read by anyone in that group, or those who will be soon. Read “CareTaker to CareGiver.”
3. In late July, Joey Sparks started a 3-part series on Contemporary Ministry, based upon Acts 17. This week, he completed part 3. Part I can be found here, then click on parts 2 and 3 in the sidebar. This is an excellent series.
4. Justin Guin, at Light the Fire Blog, presents a good article called “A Christian’s Relationship.”
5. Jeremiah Tatum presents a brief but powerful article entitled, “I Don’t See Anything Wrong with It…”
I hope you are enjoying the three series running on our blog right now. All three will continue.
Also, it has been a couple of weeks since I mentioned Agloco to you. This company is growing and has great potential to make you some money while you surf. All you have to do is download a small taskbar and leave it up while you surf (for just 5 hours a month). Then get others to do the same, and you will make some money for your referrals. My group continues to grow slowly (including having a member in South America), but you can help with it! Click here to join by my referral.
Have a great weekend!
