Friday Links Roundup: Amazing Ending Edition
Next week is Christmas and we are getting all ready for that. I’m glad to report that our shopping is done! We are looking forward to spending a couple of days with Leah’s side of the family, then maybe getting to see my side of the family late in the week.
I’m also looking forward to watching some basketball, and the terrible bowl games that happen early on in the bowl season. College basketball is in full swing and I enjoyed watching the Duke/Pittsburgh game last night…except for how it ended.

1. Christian Cornucopia gives us some valuable information regarding classes you can take online…for FREE! The classes can be taken at your own leisure and, while they are not for credit, you gain valuable knowledge.
2. Many in our society are looking for Christianity, and they want it without all the “fancy” titles people keep adding. Churches of Christ have been saying the same thing for years. Maybe there are areas where the fields truly are white to harvest. Read “Christianity with No Subtitles” by Joshua Pappas.
3. Nearly everyone who reads this blog understands that our nation has lost so much knowledge about the Bible. It is tragic. Trey Morgan writes a brief article about this topic in his post “Betting on the Lord’s Prayer.”
4. How much is a soul worth? How about less than the price of a gallon of gasoline? My dad, Jim Faughn, writes a thought-provoking article entitled “$1.00 for a Soul.”
5. Recently, brother Willard Collins passed into eternity. While I never met brother Collins, I knew of him quite well. Dale Jenkins preached at the Granny White church of Christ in Nashville, where brother Collins attended for many years. On his blog, brother Jenkins wrote an excellent set of memories of this great man. Read them here.
