Friday Links Roundup: Big Weekend Edition
We have a wonderful weekend ahead of us, and we’re excited about all the plans.
As many of our readers know, Lads to Leaders is underway in Nashville, Atlanta, Orlando, Memphis, and Indianapolis. I went to Opry Mills yesterday to look for Leah’s birthday present and just kept running in to people I know. It was great! I’m looking forward to seeing more tonight. We’ll be at the Opryland Hotel tonight for the Delta Fountain singing, which I’ll be honored to lead. If you’re near Nashville, come to the singing. It’s really good (despite the leader!), and very uplifting. That starts at 10:30 tonight.
Before that, though, my family has to say “cheese.” Lebanon Road is in the middle of pictorial directory pictures, and the Faughn Family of Four goes later this afternoon. We just hope Turner will cooperate!
We’ll be going back to the Opryland tomorrow to support several folks and just to renew some friendships. I’m glad we live close enough to do that, and I’m looking forward to it.
Then, on Sunday, we will be looking for a great number in worship. Easter is a time when many come to worship who do not regularly attend. I am praying that many will come and be motivated by the friendliness of Lebanon Road and, even more, by the love of God. Can we have 425? We’ll see……….
On to the links for this week:
1. Paula Harrington wrote a very motivational post about the cross of Christ, telling us what we see “At the Cross.”
2. Trey Morgan’s wife, Lea, wrote a guest article on his blog this week. In that great post, she listed “Traits of a Real Woman.”
3. As one who enjoys reading a lot of books, I loved Albert Mohler’s post entitled “Read to Save Your Life.”
I hope you have a wonderful weekend. If you’re near Nashville, come by and see us this Sunday. We meet at 9:00 for worship, with Bible classes following.
No matter where you are, don’t forget the Lord on His day.
