Friday Links Roundup: Comeback Edition

I don’t stay up late very often. Usually, I lay down around 10:30 and am asleep by 11. (In case you’re wondering, I get up before 6AM.) Last night, however, I had to stay up a little later than normal.

This is the 2nd-best sports time of the year. (The best is March Madness.) Baseball playoffs combined with college football (and the NFL) make this great! I stayed up last night to watch the Nebraska Cornhuskers come back from a 12-0 deficit to start the 4th quarter to beat Missouri, 27-12. It was amazing! I love espn360.com! Now, if the Yankees win today, and the Red Sox will lose again, this weekend will be fantastic!!!

On to the links for this week:

1. Justin Gerhardt shares a very uplifting thought about the difference in how the Old and New Testaments end in his post “The Rest of the Story.”

2. The whole saga of Roman Polanski is mind-blowing, and the Hollywood “elite” only add to the insanity surrounding his story. Albert Mohler reveals some thoughts on this story and the bigger picture in “Morality, Hollywood Style.”

3. Neal Richey uses a quote that may seem paradoxical and turns it into a great thought in his post “Double Your Failure Rate.”

4. Robbie Mackenzie posted a brief but great video in a post called “Comfort.”

5. Finally, a leadership post. Some know they should be leaders, but don’t know how. The Simple Dollar gives some practical steps you can take in “15 Ways to Be a Leader Today–or Any Day.” While these are more for a business setting, they are also very adaptable.

I hope you have a great weekend. We are looking forward to hearing one of our missionaries this Sunday at Lebanon Road, and I’m excited about preaching Sunday night. If you’re near us, worship with us.

No matter where you are, don’t forget the Lord on His day.
