Friday Links Roundup: Family in Town Edition

I am enjoying having my mom and dad with us for the weekend. My sister and her 3 kids are coming for the day, too. Mary Carol’s birthday is next Sunday (October 7), so they are here to celebrate that. We’re so thankful for our family!

Speaking of October 7, the 9th Avenue church of Christ will host her annual Friends and Family Day on that Sunday. You are invited. Everyone is invited! Our goal is to have 600 in attendance, and you can help us reach that goal! We will have Bible classes at 9:30, worship at 10:30 and a noon meal. If you can, please come and be with us for this great day.

2. We often read quotes by our Founding Fathers and the faith they held in the God of heaven. I believe the more quotes like this we see, the better. They remind us that our nation was founded upon Biblical principles, despite what we are told in the media today. Phil Sanders shares several quotes, and his thoughts on them, in “If We Silence God.”

3. Jeremiah Tatum writes an interesting article based upon the statement people make about members of churches of Christ: “You Do Not Believe…”.
