Friday Links Roundup: Hee-Haw Edition

Tonight at Lebanon Road, we are having the annual “Harvest Banquet.” It is a dinner for our older members, featuring a full production of Hee-Haw, put on by some of us young-uns. (I’m just thankful I can still be in the young-un group!)

One thing about Lebanon Road is that they don’t half-do anything. Don’t believe me? Just look at the set for our show tonight:

I hope to have someone take some pictures of the evening, so I can post them later.

Since I was sick last week, there are several links this week. It’s two weeks’ worth. Enjoy!

1. David Lemmons posts an article from Adam Cozort entitled “An Inheritance Reserved.” Preachers, this is a great outline!

2. We often talk about time being precious. Contextual Ministry has a very thought-provoking article on the subject, simply entitled “Tomorrow.”

3. Unity is a very important topic, and a difficult one. Mitchell Skelton writes a brief but excellent post entitled, “Some Things You Just Don’t Do.”

4. How do we deal with teens? Now THAT’S a loaded question! Dale Sadler shares a very good story about an incident he had with a teenager that proves a good point.

5. You mention Babe Ruth in a post, and you make a spiritual application, you’ve got a good chance of getting in the links roundup! Seriously, Frank Bellizzi has a unique post with a great application.

6. While this post by Patrick Mead is somewhat funny, it makes a serious point. Read “Prayer Pet Peeves.”

7. Okay, this post by Trey Morgan is just funny. It shows that preachers most certainly don’t have a boring life!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Wherever you are on the Lord’s day, make sure you worship with the saints.
