Friday Links Roundup: Newlywed Game 2009 Edition

Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day (guys, do you need to read that part again???). I’m looking forward to going to eat with my family for lunch at our favorite restaurant. You Haleyville folks know where that is! We are going to take the leftovers home and eat them as a picnic for supper.

On Sunday, after our morning worship and Bible classes, we are having a Valentine’s brunch. Also, there will be a game. Leah and I have been drafted to be one of the couples in the Newlywed Game. We are looking forward to this fun time. Don’t worry, there won’t be any self-incriminating answers like this given!

The reason there won’t be any answers like that is because I love Leah and wouldn’t trade her–or anything about her–for anyone in the world!!!

On to the links for this week:

1. There are only three links this week, but this one is massive. I’m not a huge fan of Jonathan Edwards, but I see him quoted often. His works are considered by many scholars to be classics. So, if you enjoy reading things written by Edwards, you are going to love this link. Yale University has put online everything Edwards ever published! The best part is that it’s all free and searchable. Check out The Jonathan Edwards Center by clicking here.

2. Another larger link here. If you could not watch the debate last night between Kyle Butt and Dan Barker, Mitchell Skelton has put the debate online in parts for easier viewing. Click here for the article and links.

3. Christians are to be meek, but not timid! Jeffrey Foster writes an interesting post on this very subject that would make a great devotional lesson.Link

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. We are looking forward to a wonderful day at Lebanon Road. I’m excited about preaching again after being away last weekend, due to the death of my grandmother. If you are in or around Nashville, come by and see us!

No matter where you are, make sure you remember the Lord on His day.
