Friday Links Roundup: Pass Along Edition
We’re excited about this weekend. We are headed to Lawrenceburg this afternoon for our niece’s 2nd birthday party (and she asked for brownies…she must be related to me!!!). On Saturday morning, I have my first (of 3) fantasy football draft. Wish me luck. I’ve spent about 20 minutes preparing. As long as I don’t draft Donte Stallworth, I’ll be okay.
We’re calling this the “pass along” edition, because we are making an appeal to our readers to pass along the word about our blog. If you get the updates via email, will you send one or two of your friends a link to our blog? If you get them via Twitter, how about a retweet? If you subscribe via RSS, how about just letting someone else know that you enjoy the blog? Our numbers are really good, but we need your recommendations to make them even better! If each reader told just 2 people, what a great difference that would make! If you know of someone who needs to be on our email list, just let us know and we’ll be glad to add him or her.
On to the links for this week:
1. Anyone who is married wants to improve the marriage, but we often do things that harm the marriage over time. Jim Martin on A Place for the God-Hungry, gives a thought-provoking list of “13 Ways to Hurt Your Marriage.”
2. Many Christians think they are “good enough.” Scott McCown challenges that in a simple but helpful post. Read “Giving Our Best.”
3. John Maxwell posted a brief section of his wonderful book Failing Forward. This is one worth filing away. Enjoy “Put Others First.”
4. Bible Study Magazine recently interviewed John Piper about his respect for the Bible. This pdf article is a good read, and will encourage you to read and memorize more. Here is the article.
We hope you have a wonderful weekend, and we hope you’ll pass the word along about our blog.
Wherever you are, don’t forget the Lord on His day.
