Friday Links Roundup: Slow Posting Week Edition
As indicated earlier this week, I have not posted much this week on our blog. I have several things going on this week, and just needed to move blogging to a secondary role for this time. I hope to “pick back up” next week. Since I’m not a professional blogger, sometimes this will have to happen.
Here are 3 articles you will enjoy:
1. My dad posted an article last Thursday that is very interesting. It is called “Encouragement from an Unexpected Source.”
2. Drew Kizer had a link to the blog Faith and Thought, where the author–in 3 parts–suggests several reasons why he switched from the New American Standard Bible to the English Standard Version. It is quite thorough and contains several lists of comparisons. Read Part 1 here and then follow the sidebar to parts 2 and 3.
3. Jeremiah Tatum wrote a brief but quite interesting article about his visit to the Kingdom Hall. He takes the time to list some things that he saw that were against the Bible and some positive things as well. Take a few moments to read “A Visit to the Kingdom Hall.”
In other news, the Yankees sure have made things interesting. They have the A.L. East lead down to just 1 1/2 games, but Boston plays Tampa Bay this weekend. If the Yankees can keep the lead there, they will stand a great chance of coming all the way back in the final week, despite trailing by 14 1/2 games earlier this year. It’ll be fun to watch.
I hope everyone has a great weekend. Give God your best everyday, and make the time to give Him your worship on His day.
