Friday Links Roundup: Spiritual Nourishment Edition

We’re in Paducah with my family for a couple of days, and truly enjoying our time. It was fun to get to watch some hoops yesterday (especially since Duke cruised into the second round), but that’s not the whole reason we are here.

Tonight, we are going to the Central church of Christ in Paducah for their annual singing. We’ve been before, but now that we live closer, we are glad to be able to come again. The singing starts at 7:00, and we hope many will come. We’ll sing until about 10:30, and there will be a refreshment break.

Then in the morning, we are going to the Briensburg church of Christ near Benton for their annual Leadership Workshop. This event is a wonderful day of speakers on Biblical topics. We’ve never been, but have heard so many good comments. We aren’t sure if we’ll be able to stay for the entire day, but we are excited about going as long as we can. That event starts at 9:00 (registration beforehand) and ends at 2:30. Lunch is provided.

On to the links for this week.

1. Phil Sanders writes of a common statement among change agents and others, giving “credit” to the Holy Spirit for their divisive ways. Read “Blame It on the Spirit.”

2. Dale Sadler writes a very important article on faithfulness in marriage. Dale’s post, “Looking for Greener Grass?“, needs to be in some church bulletins!

3. It’s easy to say we love, but my Twitter friend Lindylou asks, “Do You Love Unconditionally?

4. John Maxwell’s blog often posts encouraging articles. Take a moment to read one I found helpful entitled “Developing Your Creativity–Even If You’re Not Sure It’s Within You.

5. Our friends, Josh and Tiffany Donnan, adopted a special baby and brought her home recently. Enjoy pictures of Elizabeth Faith Donnan here.

We hope you have a wonderful weekend. If you are near Western Kentucky, come to the singing at Central and the Leadership Workshop at Briensburg. We’ll see you there.

No matter where you are, don’t forget the Lord on His Day!
