Friday Links Roundup: Typing with One Hand Edition
So much for trying to be studious. On Wednesday, Leah and the kids were out of town, and I decided to go to the house with my study materials to get some uninterrupted studying done. On the drive home, a lady turned in front of me at an intersection, and there was no time to react. Our cars collided. Thankfully, we both had only very minor injuries. I broke my left thumb, which means I’m typing today’s post (and typed yesterday’s, too) with one hand.
Thanks be to God that it wasn’t worse. I don’t want to post pictures of the car, but they would show that I was quite lucky.
I guess my softball season is over, but I can still root for the guys!
On to the links for this week:
1. Steven Hunter reminds us of the need to seek opportunities in a great post called “Walking Through an Open Door.”
2. David Lemmons shares a pdf of a great article he penned. It deals with how we must understand that some with whom we speak are believing a lie, so a priority for us is to help them see that. Enjoy “But He Lied Unto Him.”
3. Preachers, here’s a good sermon starter for you. Andy Brewer tells us to be “More Like Jesus Every Day.”
4. Christians who are divorced can face many struggles. The innocent party in a divorce can still feel like an outsider around fellow Christians at times. Neal Pollard helps us know what to do in a simple post called “Divorced Christians.”
5. Lust is an ongoing problem for many, especially in our sexually-saturated society. The Covenant Eyes blog, Breaking Free, shares “3 Biblical Strategies for Fighting Lust.”
6. As a bonus link, I thought I’d share my moment of fame from this week. Fox 17 in Nashville did two stories this week containing members of the Lebanon Road church of Christ and our efforts to help in the flood recovery. The one I was in contains a really cool story that you’ll find to be amazing. Enjoy the video and transcipt here.
We hope you have a great weekend. Stay safe!
No matter what you are doing, don’t forget the Lord on His Day.
