Friday Links Roundup: What a Week! Edition
Whoever thinks preachers (and especially youth ministers) don’t work should have been around here this week! After preaching away Sunday morning and going to our Area-Wide Youth Series Sunday night, I had our Sonshine Singers (K-6 singing group) Monday afternoon, Area-Wide Bible Bowl Monday night, a banquet in Double Springs Tuesday, Bible classes Wednesday and I taught a class for Faulkner Thursday. On top of that, I did 3 radio programs and helped with a funeral…
…and I’m preaching Sunday!
…and the battery on a car went out.
WHEW!
Even though it’s quite stressful, I actually enjoy weeks like this. When I have this much to do, it sure helps me remain focused!
Anyway, there were some very good articles around the ‘net this week. Hope you enjoy these.
1. Joey Sparks writes a good article on his blog entitled “Why Do We Wait?”
2. Read David Courington’s latest post: “The man Who Won Gold but Lost God.”
3. We need to know more about our enemy, the devil. Steve Sanders teaches us some of “The Devil’s Devices.”
4. Justin Guin helps the young people of Double Springs–and each of us–think about the phrase “Show Us the Father” on the Light the Fire Blog.
5. Please read an article I wrote on the financial blog Where Your Treasure Is. It is entitled “An Interesting Look.”
I hope you have a great weekend. Next weekend I am headed to a youth rally in Evansville, Indiana. If you are anywhere near there, join us at the Washington Avenue church of Christ. You’ll be glad you did.
Don’t forget to worship the Lord on His day.
