Friday Links Roundup: Who Do You Root for and Follow? Edition

Now that both of my fantasy football drafts are completed, I thought you might like to know who is on my team. I’m only posting my “Hitmen” team, since that is the league I’ve been in the longest, and since it is the better team.

Here’s the list of guys you should be pulling for every week:

QB: Tony Romo
Brett Favre
RB: Brian Westbrook
Darren McFadden
Thomas Jones
Reggie Bush
WR: T.J. Houshmandzedah
Roy Williams
Laverneus Coles
Hines Ward
Santana Moss
Tony Gonzalez
K: Shayne Graham
Jason Hanson
D: Indianapolis
Chicago

If you’re not familiar with fantasy football, just know that I will only play half my team every week. Assume that the top half at each position will be playing unless they are hurt or on a bye week.

Now, for a new feature on the blog. On the right-hand side-bar, there is a new feature below the hits counter where you can “follow” the blog. The more followers, the more exposure the blog will get. If you read the blog regularly, please click on “follow.” Thanks!

On to the links for this week:

1. We often pray for missionaries all over the world, who serve in difficult places. Paula Harrington wants us all to answer the question: “Are You a Missionary?”

2. It’s about the education program, and it’s alliterated, so it’s going to be on the Links Roundup! Neil Richey writes “How to Improve the Education Program.”

3. The controversy over Governor Palin’s daughter’s unwed pregnancy has run all over the news media the past few days. Some of the comments have been downright rude, but others have raised eyebrows. Steve Higginbothom writes about one of the comments in “Perfectly Normal?”

4. Productivity is something every working person needs to study. How do we get things done? That question can be difficult to answer, especially when you are “out of pocket;” whether traveling or just away from the office. The Simple Dollar gives some tips for staying productive wherever you are.

5. Why can’t we get rid of certain “stuff?” The wife of J.D. over at Get Rich Slowly made an interesting observation that triggered this very good post.

I hope you all have a great weekend. We’re looking forward to a busy Sunday, and I am also scheduled to speak at the area-wide preachers’ meeting on Monday. I look forward to the meeting every month…until now! Seriously, this is a great meeting, and it is always a joy to see so many preachers together in one place learning and enjoying fellowship.

No matter what you have planned for the weekend, don’t forget the Lord, especially on His day.
