Friday’s Family Friendly Finds {The Final Edition}
Yesterday on our podcast, we made some announcements about the future of A Legacy of Faith. One thing we are trying constantly to do is to make sure we are reaching as many people as we can and providing engaging material.
So, yesterday, we released the final episode of our podcast. That will be replaced on Thursdays with blog articles. Throughout May, Adam will write those posts and then, starting in June, Donna, Amber, and Leah will write on rotation. We hope this gives the blog, as Leah put it on the podcast, a “feminine touch,” starting with those June posts.
Another change is being made today. This will be our final Family Friendly Finds post. Online, people “vote with clicks,” meaning they either come to read or they don’t. These Friday posts have seen a pretty steep decline in readership the last couple of months, so people seem to be voting “no” to them.
However, we are thrilled to announce that we are still going to have posts on Fridays. Each week, a guest writer will be sharing something with you. We have already lined up a lot of great writers for the first few weeks, and have plans for many weeks beyond that (we have enough names already to cover about half of a year!).
What does all this mean? It means that 5 times per week, every week, you are going to get an article from A Legacy of Faith. Instead of getting 3 posts, a podcast, and a series of links, you will get 5 engaging and Biblical articles, meant to encourage and teach. We hope you enjoy these changes.
If you do not want to miss a post, the best way to get every article is to sign up for our email newsletter. It is free, and we’ll never spam you. Instead, you will simply get each of the five posts every week delivered right to your email inbox at the same time each day. With all these other changes, the time of email delivery is also changing from 10:00 AM Eastern to 8:00 AM Eastern. That way, you’ve got more time during the day to make sure you don’t miss a post! To sign up for free, just go right here!
With all that said, here is the final set of family links.
This Week’s Finds
7 Lies about Marriage {Mark Merrill}. I think most of us know the things on this list, but it is still important that we remind ourselves of them often. This would make a good list for those in premarital counseling to read, as well.
Loyalty in the Workplace {Nurturing Marriage}. How often do affairs start right in the office? This post gives some straightforward, practical ways to stay loyal to your spouse while on the job.
What the Bible Teaches about Sex {Mark’s Writings}. The title says it all. A good, Biblical discussion that would make for a very good Bible class discussion or a good husband/wife devotional.
7 Things a Son Needs from His Father {All Pro Dad}. Simply put, I couldn’t agree more with any of these. As a dad to a wonderful little boy, I need to improve in quite a few of these areas.
