Great Theology and a Blog Update

Two things today for our readers.

————————

First, I wanted to share some great theology from a two-year-old. This morning, Turner was singing (what else is new) as I was reading my Bible. He likes to see what words he can fit into certain songs, whether they make sense or not. Sometimes, they make far more sense than he knows.

This morning, he was singing “Deep and Wide,” then he started to add in some lyrics. One of them made me stop and think. He sang:

Deep and wide, deep and wide

There’s a fountain flowing, and I want it.

It may not rhyme, and it may not be actual lyric, but isn’t that the way we should be? Should we not desire the fountain that flows from Calvary? Should it not be our desire to daily drink of that fountain the flows?

Do you really “want it”?

We have an exciting announcement about our blog. Tomorrow’s post will be by a guest writer. Several weeks ago, I contacted other writers and asked if they would graciously agree to write a guest post for our blog. They were kind enough to do so. So, for the next 11 Thursdays, there will be a guest post dealing with the general theme, “The Church and…”

I am grateful to these writers, because they are busy, but are taking the time to write for this blog simply out of the goodness of their heart. These writings might encourage you to check out more of their work on their blogs, too.  Here is the proposed schedule:
