“Everybody Hurts” by REM : Our First Live Video

Some of you may remember that I was, at one time, a semi-regular contributor to a site called “The Great Music Blog.” The site’s premise was to post a video of a live performance of a rock or pop song every day. It was a great idea, but  posting every day was just too much. The site stopped after about 6 months, and it is no longer even live (pardon the pun).

But I loved the concept, because I enjoy seeing if bands and singers can really sound good live. SO…I’m resurrecting the idea (sort of). I will not be posting every day, but will have a video of a live performance every so often just to give you something to enjoy, and to let you know a little more about my widely-varying taste in music.

We begin these posts with a great live performance of “Everybody Hurts” by REM. My favorite part of this video is how cold it obviously is, judging by the steam coming out of Michael Stipe’s mouth!

Enjoy a great band live in Scotland.

BY THE WAY…if you have a favorite video for us to consider, let me know. It must (1) be live…of course, (2) be clean, and (3)  have at least decent video quality.
