Lebanon Road Report: August 9-10

What an uplifting weekend at Lebanon Road!

We had our annual Give Away Day on Saturday. The results were amazing. 375 people registered, and there might have been a handful more than that who came. Lebanon Road is so generous, though. Even with that many people, we still had about 1/4 of the items which were donated left when the day was over! We had several people request Bible study, and we were blessed to have at least two visitors on Sunday directly from our Give Away Day. Overall, we had about 60 members of Lebanon Road who helped on Saturday, in addition to dozens more who donated items. It was a tremendous day. Here are some pictures of the day:

On Sunday, we were blessed to have Randall, Jessica, and Sarah Linam place membership with us! They recently moved to the Nashville area from Kansas, and have been visiting with us for several weeks. This young family will bring a great attitude and wonderful talent to the Lebanon Road family. We’re pleased to have them.

On Sunday morning, our Summer intern, Robbie Daniel, presented our sermon. Yesterday was his last Sunday with us, and we were excited to hear him preach. He did a great job. Last night, Gary Marshall brought our message. Gary met with our elders yesterday, and has agreed to move to Pearlington, Mississippi, in mid-November to become the first full-time preacher there. We are excited about the great things happening at that location, and we pray that Gary will be a great asset to that work.

All told, we had 363 in worship yesterday morning. Of course, we were missing Billy and Cindy Hutchens, who continue to be in Texas for the adoption of Billy III. We are awaiting their arrival back in Nashville in about a week with their new addition.

If you are in or around Nashville, make sure you come by and visit us. You’ll be glad you did.
