Lebanon Road Report: March 22
What a wonderful day! First, the Lord blessed us with tremendous weather. The changing of the seasons just shows us again that God truly is in control. That good weather also seemed to have people in an even better mood than normal. (We’re always happy, but some days are even better!)
We also were back to normal in our attendance, and it made the day even more uplifting. Several of our college students were home for Spring Break, but we were also, once again, blessed with a good number of visitors. We were blessed to have 384 in our worship services yesterday morning!
I continued to preach through the book of Titus, and focused on Titus 2:6, urging our young people to live a life of self-control with God at the center of it all. Here’s the PowerPoint from that sermon:
A Winning Lifestyle
A Winning Lifestyle Adam Faughn This sermon from Titus 2:6 encouraged young people to remain under control no matter what they face in life.
After our Bible classes, we enjoyed a period of fellowship. Our fellowship committee planned a potluck meal, and it was a wonderful time. Here are a couple of pictures from the meal.
The young adult class led a service at 2:00 at a local assisted living home. Cary Clay preached a tremendously encouraging lesson using the lives of Joshua and Caleb as examples. Others led in different areas of the worship, and the residents seemed truly uplifted by the service.
Finally, last evening, brother Harry Middleton preached a sermon reminding us of the fervor the early church had for evangelism. He did a great job, and it was a great reminder to each listener.
We always pray that God is pleased with all we do, and we pray that more and more people will continue to come, visit with us, and see why we love serving God so much.
