Lebanon Road Report: November 9
The weather started to turn cooler (finally!), but things continued to go well at Lebanon Road. Even with the time change and the sun setting much earlier, we had good attendance at our evening service, too. A couple of our work committees met to plan some of our upcoming activities, so it was a busy day, but a great one.
For several weeks, off-and-on, I have been presenting some basic Bible lessons called “Christianity 101.” Yesterday I preached on the Lord’s Supper in a lesson entitled “Examine Yourself,” and this was the final lesson on worship. In a couple of weeks, I’ll pick up with a lesson or two (I have not yet decided where I want to “divide” this lesson) on the church. We’ll finish out the year with some lessons on how to be saved. These lessons have been very well received, though they have been basic.
Last night, I presented a lesson from Solomon’s prayer for wisdom entitled “A Wise Prayer from a Wise King for Wisdom.”
We were pleased to have wonderful attendance again yesterday, including several visitors. I have quite a few cards to send and visits to make today! Our attendance was 348 for our morning worship, and 282 stayed for our Bible classes. Again, we hope to get those numbers up, but we are thankful for the attendance we are having, and especially for the visitors who are with us often!
I’ll say it again: if you are ever near Nashville, stop by and see us. You will be glad you did!
