Lebanon Road Report: October 5
It was another tremendous day on “the Pike.” Lebanon Road is such a wonderful place, and yesterday’s worship service was one of those truly uplifting services, where everything (except my PowerPoint…grrr) just seemed to go well. The singing was great, with very well-selected songs, and those who lead prayers and read Scripture did a great job.
It was an honor to present the sermon that Jason, Jeremiah, dad, and I all wrote together, and it was very well-received. We were, again, blessed to have visitors from all over the country, including a youth group from Phoenix, Arizona, that was in town to see Lipscomb and were traveling to see FHU today.
Despite some folks being out-of-town, and a few families visiting the Mount Juliet church of Christ Friends Day, we were blessed to have a great number of worshipers both yesterday morning and evening. We had 376 yesterday morning, and had 262 last night. What a joy it is to preach for a congregation that is growing and where visitors continue to come by to see what’s going on at Lebanon Road!
Next Sunday, I will be away holding a Gospel Meeting (more about that later in the week), but I hope to have a brief report on here with our numbers, because it will be our Mission Emphasis Weekend!
If you’re near Nashville, we hope you will come by and see what good things are going on at Lebanon Road. You’ll be glad you did!
