Surprise, Surprise…MTV loves "Brokeback"

I know. The title to this post must have come as a total shock. MTV, the youth channel that used to show music videos, endorses the homosexual cowboy movie “Brokeback Mountain.”

How have they done it? They have given the movie two nominations for their annual movie awards, which will air on June 8. It is estimated that just under 480 million households in 171 nations will watch the awards.

The MTV Movie Awards show is geared toward young people, so these nominations are nothing but propaganda. Parents, put your foot down! Do not let your children watch.

In reporting on the awards, PakTribune says:

The most notable thing about the MTV Movie Awards this year that certainly does
make it unique is that categories will not be separated by male and female. It’s a bold move doing away with gender significance by having men and women compete in the same category. And, it’s fitting that this move is made by an awards show geared to youth who seem to be evolving into a more progressive generation. Or, that seems to be true, considering that this year’s awards nominated the controversial movie about homosexuality that was presented in the form of an American icon, the cowboy. “Brokeback Mountain” rustled up two nominations, one for Jake Gyllenhaal for Best Performance…

Now, notice the other award for which “Brokeback” is nominated:

and one for Jake and Heath Ledger for Best Kiss.

Do you see what MTV is doing? By all the young people going “Ohhhhhhhh” and cheering for the other nominated kisses, they will do the same for these two men kissing. And, without a doubt, the celebrities sitting down front will cheer, which will cause the kids to cheer even more.

When will Christians stop watching and supporting such blatant sinful propaganda. We must! It doesn’t matter if it is accepted by anyone else. If God says it is wrong, it is wrong. And, from the Old Testament law to the New Testament, God has condemned homosexuality. We need to start loving the sinner, but hating the sin.
