He Understands

Each time I read through the four accounts of the Gospel, I learn. Further, I am encouraged more and more by many things.

In recent months, though, I have been so deeply encouraged by this simple fact: Jesus understands. He truly does understand.

  • If you have ever felt betrayed, Jesus understands.
  • If you have ever been frustrated by friends, Jesus understands.
  • If you have ever been hungry or thirsty, Jesus understands.
  • If you have ever prayed, “Get me out of this!” Jesus understands.
  • If you have ever had a friend question you, Jesus understands.
  • If you have ever felt the need to just get away, Jesus understands.
  • If you have ever known sleeplessness, Jesus understands.
  • If you have ever been misunderstood, Jesus understands.
  • If you have faced storms, Jesus understands.
  • If you have ever had deep physical pain, Jesus understands.
  • If you have ever had to stand against your own family for your convictions, Jesus understands.
  • If you have ever had to have a confrontation, Jesus understands.
  • If you have ever been wrongly accused, Jesus understands.
  • If you have ever struggled with those who just don’t “get it,” Jesus understands.
  • If you have stared down the reality of losing a loved one, Jesus understands.
  • If you have hurt for others, Jesus understands.
  • If you have cried, Jesus understands.
  • If you have had a heart for the downtrodden, Jesus understands.
  • If you have been without the niceties of life, Jesus understands.
  • If you have ever “had it” with sinfulness, Jesus understands.
  • If you have had to turn over the care of a parent to another, Jesus understands.
  • If you have loved children in a world that sees them as an inconvenience, Jesus understands.
  • If you have cried out for the lost, Jesus understands.
  • And if you have faced your own death, Jesus understands.

Friend, He understands. Turn to Him.
