2017 Year in Review

It is hard to believe, but the last few days of 2017 are clicking away. We pray you have had a great year, and that you have plans for greater service in the Lord’s Kingdom in 2018.

As we do each year, we want to take one post to share some things about our site from this year with you.

First of all, thank you. Well over 100,000 people came to our site this year, which is a number we simply cannot fathom. That only has happened, though, because you came and you passed along our articles and podcasts with others.

Top 17 Posts of 2017

The following articles were the most-viewed this calendar year. That does not necessarily mean they were written this year (as you will see by the publication dates), but they were viewed the most times during the last 12 months.

Goals Accomplished; Goals Set

Each year, we set goals for growing the site. Some we hit, and some we don’t. Here is how we did with our 2017 goals and some goals we hope to reach in 2018.

Email List. We set a goal of having over 1800 email subscribers by the end of 2017, and we surpassed that goal with ease. As of this writing, we are over 1920 readers. For next year, we hope to grow our email list to over 2200. (By the way, if you’d like to join that list–which is totally free–you can do so here, and you’ll never miss an article!)

Facebook Likes. We had a goal of 2000 likes on our Legacy of Faith Facebook page by the end of this year. That goal has not been reached, but we have seen growth on Facebook still. For 2018, we hope to reach 2100 likes on our page. If you’ve never joined our page, here’s the link.

Podcast Goals. In 2017, our goal was simply to be consistent with our podcast for the whole year. We have had to miss a couple of episodes, but Leah and I have figured out a pretty good recording schedule and are now recording episodes on a regular basis. Sometime in early 2018, we will record episode 100 of the podcast, a number we could never have imagined when we started this show a long time ago.

We have a lot of other things we hope to accomplish in 2018, but they are still in the idea stage. (A seminar? A book? Another podcast? … all are a “maybe!”)

But for whatever we allowed by the Lord to do in our little corner of the Internet, we hope and pray that He gets all the glory.
