Today is the last day for me to have a 3-year-old son. My buddy, Turner, turns four tomorrow. God has granted us the privilege of raising this boy, and we pray often that we honor the Lord in our decisions. Our prayer is that Turner grows up to be a preacher. No, he doesn’t have to stand in the pulpit each Sunday, but we pray that he will “preach” the glory of God with his life. Also, we are nearing the end of our third year at Lebanon Road. March Madness is underway. Thursday was a great day of hoops. If it is any indication, we are looking forward to another great tournament. Part of the greatness of March is how unpredictable it is. Millions of people fill out brackets each year, trying to predict the tournament based upon any number of factors (strength of schedule, color of uniform, flip of a coin, etc.). Almost no one ever gets it totally correct. On ESPN’s website this year, over 5.8million brackets were filled out before Thursday’s games began. The greatest sporting event is set to begin tonight. Real fans fill out brackets that include the “First Four” games! As much as I love the sport of college basketball, I am terrible about picking the tournament. I say that to tell you this: if you go against my picks, you’ve got a great chance of doing very well! March Madness is the greatest sporting event of them all. That’s true for two reasons. First, it’s true because college basketball is the greatest sport of them all.
