FHU Bible Lectures #12

Wednesday, 8:30 & 9:30

I listened to David Baker’s lecture dealing with discipleship. This was the first in a two-part series and today basically laid the foundation. Baker referenced “Simple Church” often. Leah and I both think this is a book I need to read and incorporate.

One of my favorite things David did was remind us that we must do what God requires (worship) as well as we can, then focus on programs, all under the mission of the congregation.

At 9:30, I attended Dan Winkler’s second lecture of the week, which focused on preaching through Hebrews. Dan is a master expositor, and I always learn so much and I’m even more motivated to peach as best I can.

Today’s lecture deals with Jesus as the High Priest. Yesterday, we were led through the first part of Hebrews, which deals with Jesus: the Better Messenger.
