Friday Links Roundup: Great Pain in the Neck Edition
This morning, I did something I’ve never done before. I visited a chiropractor. On Wednesday morning, I woke up in Paducah, with a slightly sore shoulder and neck. On Thursday it was worse, especially as we drove home. This morning, it was really bad. The chiropractor repeated a move I’ve seen in the movies that kills people by breaking their necks, but, somehow it worked. I’m still sore, but some better. I’ll have to go back on Monday for a follow-up, but that’s okay.
I’m calling this the “Great” pain the neck edition because I can’t think of a better place to get a sore neck than traveling preaching the Gospel! The meeting at Central went so well. Attendance was wonderful (the lowest of any service was 155, and the highest was Sunday morning, with 260), and there was a response on Tuesday night. Also, there was a baptism on Wednesday at the building. It was a very uplifting week.
Now we are back in Nashville, but ready to travel again at the end of next week. More about that soon.
Just a couple of links this week that I think you’ll enjoy.
1. Where is the line between preaching and politics? Steve Higginbothem helps explain in a great way.
2. Jeremiah Tatum used a great illustration in the meeting on Sunday. Later in the week he wrote an article based upon Shechem from that illustration. You’ll enjoy this a lot.
I hope you have a great weekend. Don’t forget the Lord on His day!
