Friday Links Roundup: Kentucky Meeting Edition

Tomorrow, my family and I will load up the car and head north and east. I’ll begin a series of Gospel Meetings on Sunday with the Fairfax church of Christ in Winchester, Kentucky. We are excited about this trip, and we hope the meeting glorifies God. If you are near Winchester (which is near Lexington, by the way), we hope you’ll stop by and see us. Here is the Facebook event page for the meeting, which includes times and topics.

(No, there is no truth to the rumor that Coach Cal is wanting me to sign a letter of intent, but Turner may get a look for the 2025 recruiting class!)

On to the links for this week:

1. Bryan Dill started a new blog for the Holly Hill church of Christ recently. He wrote a brief but helpful post yesterday that you need to read prayerfully. Enjoy this week’s Thursday Thought.

2. Since we are still thinking about our Coming Home Day at Lebanon Road, I found this article by Joe Palmer very insightful.

3. Have you got 30 seconds? Well, you could watch the Cowboys’ old stadium fall to the ground, or you could follow these suggestions from Jeff Jenkins.

4. Douglas Brackbill shares a very important article for parents. Do we want to raise good athletes, or do we want to raise faithful Christians? Please read “Young Athletes = Good Christians?”

5. Leah and I are trying to get rid of several things. We are doing our best to declutter. This article from Small Notebook was helpful to me as we think about all that “important” stuff we are considering selling or giving away.

We hope you have a wonderful weekend. If you are near Nashville, we hope you’ll pay a visit to Lebanon Road. If you are around Winchester, Kentucky, we hope to see you there.

No matter where you are, don’t forget the Lord on His Day.
