Lebanon Road Report: September 7

We were blessed with some wonderful weather in Nashville yesterday, and the Lebanon Road congregation was also blessed with a great number of worshippers, including many visitors. It may get redundant to read about how many visitors we have, but it continues to be true, and that is so exciting.

Following our morning worship services and our Bible class period, we held a fellowship meal at which we honored our new members. Since we had not had a meal like this one for awhile, we honored those who have been baptized or who have placed membership with us since January, 2007. In that time, 46 have become a part of the Lebanon Road family! We hope to have meals like this one more often as more folks become part of this good congregation.

Our attendance was again very good. 369 met for worship yesterday morning. While that number is good, it is our Bible school number that continues to improve. We were blessed with 331 who stayed for our Bible classes. That is 90% participation (okay, so it’s actually 89.7%, but who’s counting?) in our classes. Also, 276 were present for our evening worship service.

While numbers don’t tell the whole story, I think you can see why we feel as though Lebanon Road is set to really take off! We love to worship and we love to be together. When those two things are present, great things are bound to happen.

If you are in or near Nashville, why don’t you stop in and see us?

ALSO, on Sunday, September 21, we are planning our Friends & Family Day. We are hoping to have at least 501 in attendance that Sunday morning, and we will be having a meal on the grounds. I hope you can come!
