New CD Bible

Following up on the popularity of The Passion of the Christ, Thomas Nelson has announced it will release a 70-CD set of the Bible, as read by many famous people.

The 20-CD set of the New Testament is set to be released late this year (as of now, around mid-October). The CDs will be more than just a straight reading. Hollywood celebrities will read parts (although someone to read Satan’s lines has yet to be found, even though the project’s head says that Satan “has the best lines”), and there will be sound effects such as the wind, storms and ships. It is set to be a truly dramatic set of CDs, and is also set to be quite affordable for those interested.

We often talk about the Bible “coming alive,” and many supported The Passion of the Christ for just that reason. After some research, this audio recording might also fall into that category, but we’ll have to wait and see…or “hear.”
