Sponsor Post: Study Your Bible Online

Today is a very exciting day in the history of our blog. For some time, we have had Google ads on the right-hand side. The reason those are there is not really as a “money maker.” Instead, it is really a way to make our money back. You see, we pay to have this site, and it was our goal to make just enough from these ads to pay for that hosting fee.

However, Google ads are random. There is no real way to control what appears there. Some will lead to links that teach false doctrine and other things we don’t want on this blog. We have wanted faithful members of the Lord’s Church to advertise with us, and today, we are pleased to welcome our first such ad, which you can see on the right-hand side.

Study Your Bible Online is a new blog, maintained by Wesley Walker, who is the youth minister for the Woodson Chapel church of Christ, and who also serves as one of the hosts of the weekly Engage Podcast.

The new blog has some lofty goals, but has been thought through very well. I think brother Walker’s efforts will be successful. He sent me a brief description of what to expect from this new work:

Study Your Bible Online exists to aid Christians in their relationship with God through exploration of Scripture. The sight features daily morning devotionals and afternoon posts through books of the Bible, topical discussions, and apologetics, as well as random editorial pieces on Christians and culture.

While that covers a lot of ground, the first posts are up, and show great promise for Study Your Bible Online. Please take a moment and click on the ad at the right-hand side and go see this new work. I’ve already added the site to my rss feed, and have enjoyed the first articles. We are truly pleased that Wesley’s blog is our first sponsor. Support both his good work and our blog with one click of your mouse on the ad!

If you would like to promote your site, blog, book, school, event, or anything else, just send us an email to adfaughn AT gmail DOT com. Our rates are very affordable. As stated earlier, it is our desire not to make money, but simply to make our money back on this blog. For that reason, we keep our rates very low. You can pay by the month, the year, or the half-year for a 125×125 ad (the size of brother Walker’s).
