The Teetering Theory
Isn’t it great to believe the Bible? What a marvelous Book God has given us. It is open, honest, fair and, above all, correct. And it is correct from the very first verse: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). One of the best things about that is one does not continually have to change his view of the verse. It still says the same time (“in the beginning”) and the same way (“God created”). It’s just that awe-inspiring, but it is also just that simple.
On the other hand, there is the theory of evolution. If it weren’t so serious, it would be comical to watch evolutionists scramble around seemingly every day attempting to prove their beloved theory, despite the mountain of evidence against it. The most common change in their theory is the time aspect. Has anyone else noticed that man, the earth and the universe just keep getting older and older and older? And not just by a few months or years, either. Evolutionists keep expanding the universe by millions and billions of years!
Now a new concept is hitting them to try to help their theory, as they try each day to prop it up. How come humans and chimps look similar? How about this attempt to explain it: after they had evolved apart, the humand bred with chimps again! Yes, that’s right, you evolved from humans who weren’t smart enough to know to mate only with their own species! Doesn’t that make you feel special?
