Two Free Resources for Overviewing Exodus with Your Kids [Free Printables]
It was announced last weekend that the book being emphasized by Lads to Leaders for the 2019 convention will be the book of Exodus. Even if you are not involved in Lads to california-muscles.net Leaders, however, we want to share two resources with you that you might want to consider using in your family Bible time or homeschool. Both of these are available for free and are in pdf format.
Resource #1: Overview of Exodus
This pdf contains three parts, each designed to help young people grasp the “big picture” of Exodus. In the following pdf, you will find: (1) “10 Facts about Exodus,” (2) a simple outline of the book, and (3) a map of the major events they can fill in.

If you need the answers to the questions and blanks, here they are (in order):
Moses, captivity, tabernacle, Red Sea, Sinai, 175, Moses, Pharaoh, Aaron, Miriam, plagues, Commandments, law, wilderness, deliverance or going out, “now,” Moses, Moses, Moses, Moses, Pharaoh, Israelites, plagues, Red Sea, Israelites, Commandments, covenant, tabernacle, golden calf, tabernacle
Resource #2: 100 Memory Verses from Exodus
One of our favorite events at Lads to Leaders is Centurion of Scripture. In this event, young people memorize 100 verses throughout the year. For the last couple of years, we have incorporated the book of study into this memorization.
In the pdf below, you will find 100 verses to memorize from Exodus. The goal of this list is simply to hit the “high points” of the book. In fact, if you are familiar with the book of Exodus, you may read just these 100 verses and see the overall flow of the book!
By the way, for those unfamiliar with Centurion of Scripture for Lads to Leaders, students need only memorize one verse at a time in order to earn the “bronze” award. Some of the verses on our list are two verses but can be done one at a time (our kids usually do it this way).

We hope these resources help you and your kids get a grasp on this great book of the Bible!
One more thing: in 2018, Wes McAdams has been writing a short blog post reacting to reading each book of the Bible in one sitting. You may want to read his article on Exodus to help get your mind around the big picture of this book.
