We’re On Our Way!
If you are reading these words on Thursday morning, we are on our way to PTP – Polishing the Pulpit – in Sevierville Tennessee. It is one of my favorite times of the year.
We get to see so many people we love, and often this is the only time of the year we get to see them.
I know I can’t adequately describe all that goes on there, but maybe my short list might make you check it out for next year if you have never attended.
- Actually there are two PTPs. The first is in July and is held in Branson, Missouri and the other PTP is the one we’re headed for in Sevierville.
- It is one of the largest (if not THE largest) gatherings of Christians, all in one place enjoying fellowship, Bible lessons, counseling, teaching skills, singing, worship, and lessons for all ages and both genders.
- Great keynote speakers
- Wonderful training classes for men and women
- Classes specifically for men
- Classes specifically for women
- Classes for preachers
- Classes for preachers’ wives
- Classes for elders
- Classes for elders’ wives
- Classes geared for younger women
- Classes geared for older women
- Classes specifically for teenagers
- Classes specifically for younger children
- Places to sit and have a cup of coffee and a chat with a friend
- Beautiful atrium singings at different times of the day and evening
- And so many more things that just don’t come to my mind right now!
- PTP is a place where your soul will be lifted up and encouraged.
If you are reading this, I hope to see you tomorrow as PTP officially begins.
If you are reading this and have never been, please let me encourage you to make plans for next year. It will lift you up and strengthen your faith!
If the Lord is willing, I’ll see you there!
